The prep and packaging shop Amazon sellers and subscription box operators actually stay with.
Medford, Oregon. No state sales tax on prep, supplies, or inventory passing through. Named account manager on day one. Photo documentation on every pallet. Published rate card. Zero exit fees.
If any of these sound familiar, you are the reason we exist.
Every one of these is a real complaint pulled from reviews of the national prep centers. We designed KL to reverse each one.
Four dock stops from first email to stable operation.
Same four stops whether you ship 500 units a month or 50,000. No gatekeeping, no enterprise-only onboarding theater.
Written quote in 1 business day
Send SKU list, monthly volume, and pack-out spec. You get a written rate card, SLA preview, and calendar link back inside 24 business hours.
MSA + COI + onboarding
Signed MSA, insurance cert naming you as additional insured, WMS account provisioned, named account manager assigned.
First inbound + first outbound
Inventory arrives, we receive in 24 hours with photo documentation. First outbound shipment to your FC, invoice delivered with no surprise line items.
Monthly scorecard + grow together
Accuracy, receiving time, and SLA compliance published monthly. Volume tier adjusts automatically as you scale.
Three service lines. One shop that picks up the phone.
Amazon FBA Prep
Private label, Brand Registry, reseller, Chinese seller via forwarder. Same-day receiving on OA. 2D barcode ready. Transparency T-code application at $0.15/unit with scan verification.
Subscription Box Fulfillment
Cratejoy, Subbly, Shopify Subscriptions, Recharge. Variable monthly BOMs. Per-kit pricing published. Surge capacity for the 72-hour pack window every month.
Contract Packaging
Low-MOQ food, snack, supplement, pet, and beverage (non-aseptic). 500-case minimums, not 5,000. We pick up the phone and we will scale with you.
Six buyer profiles come through our dock each month.
Some are Amazon private label owners with one hero SKU. Some are aggregators running forty brands. Some are emerging CPG founders with their first Whole Foods PO. Everyone gets the same SLA.
Brand-Registered sellers, $200K to $5M revenue, single ASIN focus.
Under $100K revenue. No minimums. Kitchen-table operators welcome.
Multi-brand portfolios, 5K+ units/mo, full SKU pool management.
T-code serialized application. FNSKU skip for Brand Reps.
Cratejoy, Subbly, Shopify Subscriptions, Recharge. Native API.
Low-MOQ co-packing. 500 cases on day one, 50K by year end.
Three rule changes reshaped FBA prep this year.
We redesigned our workflow around each of these before they went live. If your current prep center has not walked you through these on a dedicated call, that is the signal to start shopping.
Amazon’s own FNSKU labeling and polybag service at the fulfillment center is gone. Every seller who relied on that safety net now needs a third-party prep partner.
Non-Brand-Registry resellers must apply FNSKU labels to every unit. No more manufacturer-UPC shortcuts. Brand Registry Brand Reps with a scannable UPC can skip labeling entirely.
FNSKU labels moving to combined 1D+2D format. Prep centers need 300 DPI thermal printers and compatible software. KL Productions ships 2D-compliant labels today.
Oregon has no state sales tax. Here is what that actually saves you.
Oregon does not tax services, and it does not tax inventory sitting in a warehouse before it ships to a fulfillment center. That saves you on three line items: prep services themselves, inbound inventory passing through, and supplies bought here.
What we will not tell you: Oregon does not eliminate Amazon nexus. Once Amazon stores your inventory in a state, that state creates nexus under Wayfair. Any prep center telling you different is going to get you audited.
Closer to the FCs that matter.
Medford sits shorter-haul to the Pacific Northwest and Northern California Amazon fulfillment centers than most Portland-metro prep centers, and dramatically closer than anything in Utah or Nevada.
Trust is earned at the dock, not in the sales pitch.
Four artifacts every KL client sees during the relationship. Not features. Actual paperwork. Illustrative here, real in your account.
The big co-packers take the nine-figure contracts and let the $50K ones rot in the corner of the warehouse. We run the opposite shop.
Guides, playbooks, and operator notes from the floor.
Trevor writes every piece under his own name. No ghostwriter fluff, no definitional 101 posts, no "ultimate guide to shipping" with a word count target.

Real dollar comparison of an Amazon FBA prep center in Oregon versus California on sales tax, storage rates, FC drive time, and nexus. With a $1M per year seller worked example.

The Amazon 2026 FBA Prep Compliance Playbook
Every Amazon rule change that hit in 2026, what it actually costs you, and what to do before Q4 onboarding windows close. Written from the floor of a working prep center.
What prep costs here.
No minimums. Volume tiers at 5K, 25K, 50K units per month. No manual-handling fees ever.
The owner is the one you call.
Trevor Lee runs this shop day to day. He built it from a single bay in Medford, Oregon into the prep partner Pacific Northwest brands use instead of national 3PLs. He is the one who picks up the phone when a shipment is late, and he is the one who signs the SLA.

Trevor reads every email.
A written quote, an SLA preview, and a calendar link if we are a fit. From the owner, not a sales rep. Usually same day, one business day at most. If we are not the right shop for what you need, Trevor will tell you that too.
